Juicy Couture
Juicy Couture entered the fragrance world after establishing itself as a major fashion label in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when the brand’s bold, playful aesthetic had already become widely recognized.
The move into perfumes happened as part of a natural expansion into lifestyle products. Once Juicy Couture became famous for its glamorous, youthful image – especially its iconic velour tracksuits – the brand wanted to capture that same “fun luxury” feeling in something more personal and everyday: fragrance.
The first Juicy Couture perfumes were launched in 2006, in collaboration with Liz Claiborne Inc., a major fragrance and fashion company (now part of Revlon). This partnership gave Juicy Couture access to established perfume development expertise, allowing the brand to translate its fashion identity into scent.
From the beginning, the goal was clear: create fragrances that feel sweet, bold, and unmistakably glamorous, mirroring the brand’s personality. Perfumers built compositions using juicy fruits, whipped florals, vanilla, caramel, and warm musks—notes that matched the brand’s playful and indulgent style.
The debut fragrance, Viva La Juicy, became a breakout success and helped define the brand’s fragrance identity. Its sweet gourmand profile and instantly recognizable bottle design turned it into a modern classic and set the tone for future releases.
At the heart of Juicy Couture fragrances is a bold mix of juicy fruits, decadent florals, and addictive gourmand notes. Think sparkling mandarin, ripe berries, and succulent pear layered over creamy gardenia, jasmine, and honeysuckle – finished with warm vanilla, caramel, and soft musks that linger like a sweet, unforgettable memory. Every scent feels like a celebration: playful, flirty, and irresistibly addictive.
